Switzer: OU-Nebraska rivalry won't last

Now that the schools will be in different conferences, Barry Switzer doesn't see Oklahoma's rivalry with Nebraska standing the test of time.
Switzer coached opposite Nebraska's Tom Osborne in one of the
sport's marquee rivalries in the 1970s and `80s. The two Big Eight
powers played regularly on Thanksgiving weekend, with the game
usually deciding the conference champion and oftentimes impacting
the national title.
But Switzer said Thursday that Nebraska's move to the Big Ten
will make a rivalry that faded in the Big 12 era "a game of the
past."
Switzer says the Sooners will "always have Texas" as a rival
because of proximity, but he can't see another team coming along to
replace the rivalry with Nebraska.
