A&M beats Vanderbilt, wins at least a share of SEC title

Jalen Jones scored 17 points as No. 20 Texas A&M earned at least a share of its first regular-season league title in 30 years with a 76-67 victory over Vanderbilt on Saturday.

Freshmen Tyler Davis added 16 for the Aggies (24-7, 13-5 Southeastern Conference), who had a three-way share of the Southwest Conference crown in 1986.

In their fourth season in the SEC, the Aggies sealed the top seed in next week's conference tournament. Kentucky, which entered the day tied with A&M atop the conference standings, is playing LSU on Saturday afternoon.

Wade Baldwin IV and Damian Jones each scored 11 points for Vanderbilt (19-12, 11-7 SEC).

The Aggies dominated the Commodores in points in the paint (40-22), points off turnovers (27-14) and fast-break points (8-0).
