Bearcats ready to open district at Prosper

The Sherman Bearcats will open district play on Friday when they hit the road for Prosper.

The Bearcats enter district play after a 1-2 non-district schedule. The Bearcats picked up their lone win after Sulphur Springs was forced to forfeit for using an ineligible player.

Sherman has continued to see improvement from their team as the non-district has progressed.

"We talked to our kids about, hey, this is a new season," head coach Bill Patterson said. "They understand that. District is important. Our goal is always get in the playoffs. That's where we're starting out this Friday night."

Sherman will kickoff at 7:30pm in Prosper on Friday.
