Calera heads to state

CALERA, OK - The Lady Bulldogs are headed to state for the first time in school history.

Monday afternoon family and friends cheered on the girls as they left for the state tournament.

"Their just really good kids, I mean they work hard, their good athletes, their good students, I mean I couldn't have asked for anything better," said head coach Randy Ellevold. "I m very proud of these girls."

"I m really proud of my team," said senior shortstop Taylor Pickett. "It was my senior year and I m the only one and I m glad I got to experience it at least once."

Calera will play Davis in the first round on Tuesday at 11:30.
