The Dallas Cowboys have officially released running back Joseph Randle on Tuesday, ending his tenure with the club.
Randle had 76 carries for 315 yards and four touchdowns.
Randle was the starting running back for six games this season, before suffering a back injury against the New York Giants two weeks ago.
He did not play this past Sunday against Seattle.
Randle was arrested last year for shoplifting at Stonebriar Mall in Frisco, and he was facing suspension by the NFL for violating the league's personal conduct policy regarding an incident with a former girlfriend this past summer in Wichita, Kan.
