Fox Prepares for Top 5 Showdown

The Fox Foxes are coming off a first round shut out victory over Blue Jacket, this week the competition steps up a few notches they host 5th ranked Shattuck.

Fox has ran through their opponents thus far this season, they're undefeated and their smallest margin of victory is 24-points.

In the 2nd round points may be hard to come by, both Fox and Shattuck are giving up less than 10-points a game.

"I just want to score one more point than they do; there's not any style points given," Fox Head Coach Brent Phelps said. "There's just a W or a L, and we want the W."

There's history between these two teams, two years in a row, 2004 and 2005, Shattuck beat Fox in the state title game.

"The last two times we played them they beat us out in the state championship game, so it's kind of personal," Phelps said. "We want to make a statement and do what we're supposed to do and win the ball game."

Kickoff is set for 7:30 Friday evening at Fox High School.
