DENISON, TX - Former Grayson Vikings Cody Gunter and Jacob Rhame were selected in the sixth round of the MLB draft on Friday.

"It just makes you proud, it just lets you know the things your doing are the way they need to be done," said head coach Dusty Hart.

Jacob Rhame, a right-handed pitcher that touches around 95-96 mph from the mound was selected by the Dodgers. Short-stop Cody Gunter, a former 19th round pick out of high school was selected two picks later by the Nationals.

"It never hurts to have two kids selected in the sixth round," said coach Hart. "Anytime you can put two sixth round draft picks out in the field, it's just good for the local kids and their parents to be able to come out and watch that kind of talent on a daily basis."
