Hayes becomes Oklahoma State's 6th early enrollee

Junior college transfer Maurice Hayes
now is the Oklahoma State football team's sixth early enrollee and
will be eligible to compete in spring drills.
Hayes is a 6-foot-4, 315-pound defensive tackle from Rome, Ga.,
who most recently played at Bakersfield (Calif.) Community College,
where he was a two-time all-Northern Conference pick by the
California Community College Athletic Association.
Oklahoma State's other early enrollees include a pair of juco
transfers, defensive end Ryan Robinson and offensive lineman
Michael Bowie. Three high school players also enrolled early -
linebacker Kris Catlin, offensive lineman Travis Cross and
quarterback J.W. Walsh.
The Cowboys will lose 12 senior scholarship players off a team
that finished 11-2 this past season.
