Jackets lose coordinator, as Mandrell takes Snyder head coaching job

Denison offensive coordinator Cory Mandrell will return to Snyder to become the head football coach and athletic director for the Tigers.

Mandrell was approved by the Snyder board in a 7-0 vote to become the new head coach. He is a Snyder graduate and worked as an assistant coach there under current Denison coach Chad Rogers.

Mandrell replaces James Polk, who left to take a head coaching job in Gatesville, Texas.
