Southeastern's Zach James has capped his first regular season on campus by earning Great American Conference Freshman of the Year honors as well as being named first team All-GAC.
James, a freshman from Whitesboro, Texas, has climbed into the Savage Storm record books already in his first season, earning the team's second ever individual tournament victory and has matched the record for number of rounds at par or better in a year with eight.
Additionally is carrying a 74.00 scoring average over 26 rounds and is on pace to set a new scoring record versus par.
He has a season low round of 68 and four rounds in the 60's overall while posting a runner-up finish and two other top-10 performances in addition to his victory at the Midwestern State Invitational.
The Savage Storm now wait to learn their postseason fate as the NCAA regional berths will be handed out on Friday.
