Leonys Martin led off the 11th inning with a homer and the Texas Rangers scored another run on Erick Aybar's error then held on for a 5-4 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday to end a three-game skid.
Jose Alvarez (0-1), working his second inning of relief, fell behind Martin 3-0 before the Rangers' leadoff hitter drove a full-count pitch barely over the 18-foot wall in right field for his first homer of the season and 16th in 1,121 big league at-bats.
Aybar soon after made his second error of the game, misplaying a grounder in the hole by Elvis Andrus. The Angels got a run in the bottom half on Aybar's RBI single before Rangers closer Neftali Feliz threw a called third strike past Grant Green to end it.
Feliz (1-1) pitched two innings for the victory.
