Men’s Golf Prepares for Crawford-Wade Invitational

The East Central University men’s golf team will continue their season at the Texoma Chevy Dealers Crawford Wade Invitational, hosted by Texas A&M Commerce, Feb. 25-26 at Tanglewood Resort in Pottsboro, Texas.

The Tigers will be one of 14 teams at the tournament, which has been played for over 30 years. ECU is also one of seven teams from the Great American Conference at the event, with Arkansas-Monticello, Harding, Henderson State, Southeastern Oklahoma State, Southern Arkansas and Southern Nazarene also participating.

The Tigers will be represented by two seniors, a junior and two freshmen at the three-round tournament. Senior Dakota Robbins is currently first on the team with a 76.7 average, followed by freshmen Jason Goben (78.9) and Jordan Bates (79). Junior Brandon Nicholson will play in his second tournament of the season and he has an 86.5 average.

Senior Travis Keeley will also be present for the Tigers. Keeley helped ECU to the 2010 Crawford Wade Invitational title, and was the tournament champion. Keeley has an average of 80.1 so far in 2012-13 for the Tigers.
