Junior Logan Cook grabbed 20 rebounds and scored seven points as Muenster used a 19-11 fourth-quarter scoring advantage to defeat Dallardsville Big Sandy 50-43 in a Class 2A state semifinal Friday.
Muenster had a 38-26 rebound advantage over Big Sandy.
Blake Hoepfner and Blayne Jones added 14 points each for Muenster as the Hornets (34-3) trailed 32-31 after three quarters before reeling off seven unanswered points to open the fourth quarter. Muenster stretched the lead to 11 points before a late Big Sandy run closed the margin in the final minute.
John Weger added 11 points and five rebounds for Muenster while Angel Bullock led Big Sandy (38-3) with 13 points and five rebounds. Benson Williams scored 12 points for Big Sandy.
