Plainview ready to take on Heritage Hall

It's déjà vu for the Plainview Indians, they're facing the Heritage Hall Chargers in the second round for the second straight year.

The Indians will have their hands full again this year, Heritage won state last year, they're undefeated and are the top ranked team in the state, but Indian Head Coach Joe Price says his team is not intimidated.

"We understand who we're playing against," Price said. "We're playing a very good football team. On the same end of things you get ready to play every week. You're prepared and you know what you're going to do, it's just a matter of going out and executing it."

In order to score the upset, Price says his team just needs to stay with the basics.

"I know it sounds pretty simple, but if you can go block people and stay on your blocks, and maintain blocks," Price said. "You're going to create some running lanes for the running backs. Our backs and quarterbacks have done a great job of finding holes and making yards when they're there."

Game time is set for 7:30 Friday evening at Heritage Hall High School.
