Players from 2 Oklahoma teams win Big 12 honors

The Big 12 Conference has honored baseball players from Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.

Officials announced Monday that Oklahoma pitcher Dillon Overton is the Big 12 pitcher of the week; OU's Jonathan Gray is newcomer of the week and Oklahoma State's Robbie Rea shared player of the week honors with Kansas State's Jake Brown.

Overton was honored for his performances in games against West Virginia and Arkansas-Pine Bluff. He tossed a complete game and struck out six against West Virginia, and finished with two strikeouts in two innings of relief in the Arkansas-Pine Bluff game.

Gray was praised for striking out 10 in the Sooners' game against Oregon.

Rea led Oklahoma State to three victories by hitting .438 with three homers, three doubles, 11 RBIs, and a 1.188 slugging percentage.
