Romo breaks rib, punctures lung

While Tony Romo's gutsy performance with a broken rib and a punctured lung helped the Dallas Cowboys avoid an 0-2 start, they paid a heavy price.
Receiver Miles Austin reaggravated a hamstring injury after
three touchdown catches in the Cowboys' 27-24 overtime win at San
Francisco, and running back Felix Jones has a shoulder injury. It
is unclear if Austin or Jones will be ready for next Monday night's
game against Washington, but Romo should be after coming back to
finish the 49ers game.
Coach Jason Garrett refused to be specific about the injuries
Monday, but is giving his team an extra day off this week to try to
get some players healthy. It was discovered that Romo also suffered a punctured lung in addition to the broken rib.
Beside their normal off day Tuesday, the Cowboys won't practice
Wednesday.
