ECU Softball Takes Series Against Southeastern

The East Central University softball team picked up a 9-0 shutout win and then fell 4-5 to Southeastern Oklahoma State to take the Great American Conference series 2-1 after earning an 11-10 win at home two weeks earlier.

That set up senior Samantha McGraw for four RBIs when she sent a grand slam over the left center fence.

The ECU defense then held strong, allowing two runners in the bottom of the seventh, but not a run for the 9-0 win.

ECU tried to mount a come-back in the top of the seventh, starting with a one-out double to right center by McGraw. Snider followed with a single to center and Davis sent a run home with a single through the left side for a 4-5 score. However, the next two batters were retired for the 4-5 final.
