Sevilla Second, SE 13th at Golf Regional

Marcos Sevilla Suarez turned in a 74 and finds himself at minus-two, just two strokes off the lead for the event, while Southeastern finished its second-round at the Central/Midwest Super Regional with a 309 and dropped into a tie for 13th with a two-day total of 610 with one round to play in Eureka, Mo.

The Storm opened the round as a team tied for ninth, and are now 20 shots off the lead which is a 590 posted by Malone.

Playing the back-nine to open the round, SE did not have the round two improvement that they are accustomed to.

Sevilla slipped a bit in score, carding a 74 on day two, turning in four birdies, including three straight on holes 11-through-13 to open the round, but a pair of double bogeys and two bogeys pushed him to plus-two on the day, but still two-under on the tournament in a tie for second.

Jeff Hunter and Joey Schroeder each turned in a round of 77 on Tuesday. That mark equals Hunter's first round performance, while Schroeder shaved three strokes off his first round total.

Hunter opened the round with a birdie and closed it with two more, but four bogeys and a pair of double bogeys lifted him to plus-five on the day and plus-10 on the event and tied for 58th.

Schroeder got off to a rough start with a triple bogey on 10, and bogeys on 11, 12 and 14, but recovered with an eagle on 16 and finished his first nine plus-five. He turned in four birdies on his second nine holes, but two bogeys and a double bogey would keep him even on the nine. His 77 moved him to plus-13 on the tourney and into a tie for 77th.

Mason Horner posted four birdies in his round and went out in a plus-three, but his second nine holes was a plus-six and he finished with an 81 on the day to lift his two-day mark to plus-14 in a tie for 81st.

Matt McIntosh mixed in a pair of birdies, but finished his round with a 12-over 84 which lifted his two-day mark to plus-19 in a tie for 97th.

The Storm are tied with Ferris State in 13th, one shot behind Indianapolis in 12th and five behind Nebraska-Kearney in 10th.

Fellow Great American Conference members Arkansas Tech and Henderson State are tied at ninth with matching 602 scores, while Southwestern Oklahoma State is in 19th with a 630.

The final round of the tournament is set for Wednesday, May 7.
