NCTC played host to softball royalty on Sunday.
Former Oklahoma star Lauren Chamberlain hosted a hitting camp in Gainesville, providing those in attendance to sharpen their softball skills. Chamberlain is the NCAA career home run leader, and now plays in the professional ranks.
About 100 kids attended, and were taught by Chamberlain as well as some local coaches. The former Sooner enjoys helping the girls improve as players.
For me, it's about their confidence, having them leave the camp feeling better than when they came here. Just being sure of themselves and teaching them how to play the game the right way."
