Webb aiming to be in Rangers rotation from start

Brandon Webb says his No. 1 goal is to
open the season in the Texas Rangers' starting rotation.
The former NL Cy Young winner hasn't pitched since the 2009
season opener for Arizona because of shoulder surgery. He signed
with the AL champions after they lost Cliff Lee.
Texas pitchers and catchers had their first workout Thursday in
Arizona.
Webb says his offseason went good. He's already played long toss
three times at camp.
General manager Jon Daniels says he wants Webb "strong as
possible for as long as possible during the season."
The Rangers are also giving give hard-throwing righty Neftali
Feliz a shot at being a starter. He was the AL rookie of the year
last season with 40 saves.
