Howe man sentenced to prison for assaulting officers

HOWE, Texas (KXII) - A Howe man is headed to prison for an assault that ended with three officers getting hurt.

Police said during the 2022 incident, Hayden Harrel elbowed a Howe officer in the face, spit on and hit a Van Alstyne officer in the chest, and sent the other Van Alstyne officer to the hospital with broken ribs.

Harrell was sentenced to five years in prison.
