GRAYSON COUNTY, Texas (KXII) - A Sherman man is in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter in the death of his girlfriend’s 15-month-old son.

James Floyd, 34, was initially charged with murder, but accepted a plea deal, pleading guilty to manslaughter.

According to Grayson County District Attorney John Kermit Hill, Floyd punched the child in the head in September of 2019, causing the child’s death due to a brain bleed.
