Durant Superintendent releases statement regarding high school environmental issues
DURANT, Okla. (KXII) -- Durant Superintendent Duane Meredith released a statement on Wednesday addressing concerns about possible mold in parts of the high school.
Meredith said they have been dealing with high moisture levels in the building for more than 18 months.
Now, the district has closed parts of the school, including the library, and contracted with vendors to resolve issues with the schools HVAC system.
Meredith said they have also hired a firm to restore moisture affected areas of the school.
Durant School Officials declined to be interviewed for this story.
