SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) - A motion hearing was held Monday morning for convicted Sherman killer Andre Thomas.
The Grayson County District Attorney’s Office said the case is still pending, so it can’t release details.
Thomas was convicted in 2005 for the brutal murders of his estranged wife Laura Christine Thomas, their 4-year-old son and her 13-month-old daughter.
He was set to be executed in 2023, but was granted a stay of execution. His attorneys argue Thomas is too mentally ill to be executed under the constitution.
Thomas is due back in court in November for a competency hearing.
